Black and White Street Photography during a Snow Shower in New York City on Saturday 7th January 2017. Olympus Tough Grainy Black and White.
Snow was predicted and the clouds delivered! I decided to go on a snow-photo-walk after reading the weather report for Saturday 7th of January 2017. There´s no better equipment to photograph in snow then a waterproof camera. The Olympus Tough is such a camera and it has a build in flash! I made some interesting photographs by using the flash together with the high contrast black and white Art-4 filter. See for yourself and click on Continue reading…
Great captures Michael ! So moody photographs. Snow is rare where I live, but when the day will come, I’ll walk my camera to try it ! :) Did you used P mode (well tht’as how it’s called on the GR) ?
Thank you Jean! This was the best opportunity so far during this winter and I decided to take it and freeze my shutter finger quite a bit. Can you imagine, it now again +16°C in NY. Concerning the camera, it was not my Ricoh this time because I feared that the snow would melt and moisture would get into the lens. I used the Olympus Tough TG-860 in P mode with activated Grainy Film Black and White Art filter. I wrote about it some time ago. Good luck with the snow! Good chance that it becomes more seldom in the upcoming years.
